Bak Guah Nation Ep. 2
Part 1
It was one of our bak guah's birthday.. Guess which flavor?? Our very own PUMPING Bak Guah.. Ta-daaaa.. She celebrated the day tt she was manufactured 18 years ago with much joy.. Too much tt she let herself be exposed to all the bacterias by seasoning herself with too much chocolate.. Bad bak guah..
Part 2
Have you ever wondered wad it's like to live in a Bak guah world? Lemme tell u a part of it.. that is, how does the transportation system operates there.. and all of us have a role to play..
We have different form of transportations here in bak guah land..
1st, we hv a car that will hobble (even tho it hobbles, it is a good quality continental car made in Sri Lanka), everywhere it goes basically because it luffs everytime it moves, tt's why we call it the Luffing Car (made by luffing bak guah)
2nd, and wad is a car without a horn rite? So, we have a fabulous honking system which sounds like an explosion. Everytime we horn someone it will go "baboom"!!! (provided by pumping bakguah )
3rd, Not forgetting those who can't drive, we also have an efficient public Bus system operated by a bus company called "Le Bus".. It specialises in loooong buses which can accomodate up to 50 pieces of bak guah per trip. (operated by loooong bak guah)
4th, One the bak guahs, in her previous life as a human, she was a new driver who was concern of ppl not using traffic lights, so in this life, she dedicated herself to manufacturing traffic lights. (manufactured by scandolous bak guah)
5th, How can we ensure that the vehicles don't bang each other? This is where we put colors into the traffic lights.. it's either a green or no light at all.. This light is a natural green taken from nature, i.e from vegetables, this is contributed by a bak guah tt specialises in vegetarian bak guahs (contributed by mock guah)
6th, Where will vehicles noe which direction to go? In our world, every bak guah can only go one direction.. to the left.. tt's why one of our dear bak guah kindly contributed her time to make the signs for the convenience of our drivers.. (made by left bak guah)
7th, We also ensure the safety of our pedestrian bak guahs by employing a traffic police bak guah.. Other than tt, its role is too also punish those who disobey the rules.. We hired a very dedicated traffic police bak guah who will gladly punish offenders by smacking them.. (punished by smacking bak guah)
8th, All this would not be possible if not for a particular bak guah.. it has been goin ard purchasing, renting and do whatever it takes to make sure all the physical objects like traffic light, the metal signs, the vehicles are made using the appropriate elements. I heard it went to all the shopping centres in bak guah land (shopped by shopping bak guah)
9th, And there's no better way to start a morning without a greeting from our bak guah. it has been goin everywhere, even shopping centres and roads juz to say a GOOD MORNING to all fellow Bak Guah Nation residents (greeted by morning bakguah)
10th, And our dear mayor, has been ensuring that everything moves along juz fine (ensured by master bak guah)

Life's a Bak Guah
Dear Blog,
Wow... itz been 4 days and quite a few stuffs have been happening..
Saturday, as usual, i had dance and after which we went to watch a dance performance at VT.. We actualli managed to pull looong and luffing bakguah along with us.. Let's talk about the dance performance.. Wel, they hv very interesting concepts and costumes and also interesting ways of using props.. However, their smoke machine was spoiled, i guess.. Other than tt, the dancers were excellent, frankly speaking i'm only 1/8 to their standard.. But there's smth tt i realised, a handful of their no. are made up of foreign talents.. I hv nothing against them, i mean they are really talented but aren't local dancers talented too?? why do dance companies juz love taking in foreign dancers, i mean to take in a handful will create healthy competition, which is good.. but when almost half of the company is foreign talent?? Where will our local dancers, who are just as talented, be placed? well, nobody said this industry was easy...
So, after the performance, i had to leave while the rest including Barney went to esplanade to chill... i heard they ate Fondue... whoa.... hehe. Well as for me i went for some mid-night drive around the west area.. pretty coool.. (P.S: We gave pumping bakguah her presie.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAL!!!)
Sunday, it's a day tt i wished i nv would hv gone thru.. Something very very very terrible almost happened.. well smth bad did happen, but not tt very very very terrible... The event really affect me to a certain extent.. pls god, dun let it happen to anyone else... By the way, to all adults out there, when you are crossing with a children.. PLEASE PLEASE hold their hands tightly...
Monday was pretty slacked.. had to settle some stuffs in the morning, after which slacked whole day till it was time to go to mi night class.. After class, when i was in the lift of mi house, i met a very nice neighbour.. we talked for tt few second in the lift.. I think he's new in the area coz i've nv seen him ard b4... well, it's really very nice to have neighbours who are more open and not shy to talk to others.. i hope i hv more of tt kind of neighbours..
Tues, had prac with choir.. btw to jingyi, no worries gal, you're doing just fine... let's just hv fun ok?!
My eyes are popping out!!!

Tired but...
Had another long and tiring and stressful day...
But... it was sooooooo worth all of it... I PASSED!!!!! Finally, after goin to and fro BBDC, for god noes how long.. i cleared it...
Guess wad, i got the same tester as the previous time.. I was a borderline case but heck it.. I passed.. hahahaha... soooo relieved... phew!!
after that, i happily went to D3 practice, a lot of freshies attended.. and also , a lot of potential dancers too.. itz definitely a very HAPPY day for me..!

Tiredenesssss
WOW!!!!! Anyway i had a pretty long day today...
Went to school EARRLLY in the morning and perform smth very crap...
Danced at the booth...
Went driving...
Went for my night class...
Omg.. the night class is smth very different. Even tho the subject taught is very familiar but itz the students tt attended the class tt wowed me.. The only 'young' ones are me and 2 guys who juz graduated from poly too.. the rest are like either bankers, managers, property developers, IT experts, accountants, insurance agents... itz like whoa!!!! Surrounded by professionals...
i'm enlightened... aahhhhhhh~~~

Yawnzzzzzz
Noorin : Why wasn't msn working yesterday?

Ok.. Yesterday me, taz and daniel had a VERRRRRY Early performance.. One of the earlier ones i ever had.. To make-up in the the morning was a horror.. lucky the end result was ok and i didn't look like Frankenstein.. Steps were horrible but i guess the crowd still manage to appreciate the dance...
After the performance we had an earlier lunch.. with our manager for e event.. after which daniel left and me and taz slacked in school like nobody's business.. we were actually waiting for time till our rhs at bras basah.. slacked till about 4 plus, luffing bk came with taz's cd and she finally get to watched the pic after all of us actually watched it a million times ald.. lol...
Lo and behold!! a msg came and i dun nid to go for rhs... haha.. hmmmm.. kinda wasted time in school but i remembered tt i had another prac in skool.. so it wasnt tt bad..
Went to prac Buttons with daniel all and later, the bak guahs tt were in skool came over to revise for our Sri Lanka performance... Had a fun time trying to recall the steps... besides that, Franz.. our very own loooong bak guah TRIED to be a magician but.... hehehe... we went off topic here and there when we all took turns to shake with the bellydancing chains... and i can safely say... ALL of us can shake.. yes.. all of us.. hehehe
realised smth yesterday.. do u noe that if you hv a performance early in the day and slack tooo much after tt you'll be very tired ? haha
and again... JING YI WENT MADDDDDDDD!!!!!!

Wad to do ?!?!
Anyways today, i didn't go to dance with yin... Well i was ald packed and showered when smth happenned... I decided not to make matters worse so i was thinking, i can go nxt week... I need to get my priorities straight.. Plus, i want to do all the things that i wanted to do when i was schooling but was too busy then.. Let's see.. I think i shall do up a list of stuffs that i want to do..
1) Ballet classes (at least the trial classes)
2) Go for other dance trial classes..
3) Improve on the pointe work
4) Lose some weight
5) Pass mi driving
6) Look for lobangs for external performances
7) Send my baby to the doctor
8) Find an external school where i can dance part-time

Well, i Just finished watching our Sri Lanka videos and as usual cant help it but to laugh... I laugh too loud tt my mother woke up and told me to keep quiet.. OOps, sorry mom..
Aniways, Those times were great and itz getting better as time goes by.. The circle of friendship that was created is phenomenal.. Very very positive group of people, outgoing, can barely keep our mouth shut for 0.5 second.. Itz amazing how we all met and got together...
The first time i saw almost the rest was during our first meeting where ian called us down to discuss the details further.. Surprisingly, i can still remember who was there, Shangari, Franz, Xian Zhi, Daniel, Jing Yi, Sheena, and Mr Andrew.. We were settling alll the admin stuffs.. Than one fine day, the list of confirmed people who are going was out.. Lets imagine, wad if none of us had actually agreed to go? Lets say, wad if franz said he cant go.. than he wouldnt hv met his match, yin (jk onli ok).. same goes to everyone else... this is wad i can safely call fate at itz best.. gathering a group of amazing people which they later label themselves as BakGuahs... from strangers, to BakGuahs.. Amazing... If none of us actuali met each other, we wouldn't hv gone out to those late night trips, dinners ogether, irritating ppl with our laughter as we walk...

Too Free...
SAMBA... ARRRRRRRRRRRIIIIBA!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Can ya'll feel the heat?!?!
OMG.... It's now officially proven that listening to samba music during the night does NOT make you relax and wiil DEFINITELY NOT put you to sleep...
Luckily i change into my PJs ald... If not... My living room would have turned into a samba club with only one customer... ME!!!!
My hearts aching man... the music is making mi heart dance coz i physically refuse to dance as i will not stop once i start... i want to SHAKE!!!!! All thx to BArney (aka mock gua) who's sending me these few horribly addictive music... But thx a million man!!! Now i can start practising my shakes...

Anyways, juz came back from town... was a lil too free after dance so i tot of following laoshi and weiting and jiayin to bugis and kpo ard. Than we discovered tt Franz finished his prac too... soooo.... we all decided to go walk ard in bugis...
This is where i shall bring in my SHOE STORY....
First - The strap on mi right shoe snapped, juz as i was about to reached dance studio.
Second - After dance... I 'repaired' it by putting masking tapes...
Third - On the way to clementi, in the bus, jus as i was about to alight, the strap on mi left shoe broke... =_=
Fourth - Had to walked bare foot all the way to NTUC to get cheap slippers... Mind you, it was raining, i had to walk pass two coffeeshops...
Fifth - Bought a $6 shoe...
This is why we had to seperate frm laoshi and the rest... Juz to get mi slippers... And after tt, some gum was stucked on my new shoes... lol
So, on the train, its juz down to 3 bak guahs... pumping, loooong and scandaless... We tot of still goin to bugis than someone suggested to go to city hall as there are more stuffs t0 do there... and so we did... we went to Harvey's to find laughing and mock gua and kpo ard... we only found mokgua while laughing bakgua, i think laugh her way to another branch... After which we walked ard Raffles City and once again... ate like there's no tml. We ate:

After all these eating frenzy, we shopped, slacked ard... Than we met Barney after his work... After the sinful pleasures, we decided to repent and be solemn by going to the War Memorial... Were supposed to be quiet, but as usual, even tho itz down to 4 bakguahs, we still laugh pretty loudly. It was nice to juz sit there and chill and talk... Itz not tt we are sadist enuf to be slacking at a memorial, but the surrounding is juz right.

Were supposed to be quiet, but as usual, even tho itz down to 4 bakguahs, we still laugh pretty loudly. It was nice to juz sit there and chill and talk... Itz not tt we are sadist enuf to be slacking at a memorial, but the surrounding is juz right.

GREEEED
noorin : hi blog master!!!

blog_master : oh my gosh (*smacking his own head- learn from jingyi)
noorin : nah.. i'm just waiting for jingyi to help me with mi blog.. a very kind soul who is helping mi with my blog.. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!! I realli appreciate it.. i'll buy you coke or perhaps brownies or aniting to make it up... some toothpicks to keep you awake during late nights (courtesy of Mr Bean).. hehe..

noorin : *shy*... Anyways, today i went to a family gathering at mi first aunt's house... The gathering is to commemorate the death of her husband (my uncle)... There were tonnes of ppl and it was so crammed, i literally felt like an ongoing cooking bak guah. But, to make up for that, the desserts were fooooooh!!.. EXCELLENT!!!! OMG!!! lemme tell you wad i ate, before the main dishes..
2 1/2 muffins,
1 1/2 keh lopis (with melted brown sugar),
2 bowls of smth very sweet ( i dun noe wadz e name but it looks like a rounder and softer version of puteri salat),
1/2 Twiggies,
3 small pieces of brownies,
1/2 puteri salat..

quite a handful of yellow rice
4-5 prawns, a lump of mutton1
1 bowl of jelly,
3-4 small pieces of brownies,
1 decent piece of sweet..
it sounds like my last meal, didn't it? Hungry anyone?

Horribly Irritating
OMG!!!!!!!! To make a very nice blog is soooooper doooooooper hard... thx to Jingyi (choir) for helping me and also Jingyi (dance) for listening to my late night complaints... hehehe
I really hope to get my "Dream Blog"... Haha... I can imagine, itz redish, black, perhaps with a dance background... also... with a TAGBOARD... haha... I noe to u all pro bloggers out there, this seems chicken little to u.. but itz not for me... haiz... haha..
ok.. i shall continue on my journey in creating my "Dream Blog", hehe..

A great story will be told soon, but itz only now that the characters are complete...
Once upon a time, a bunch of raw meat went over for a trip to Sri Lanka hoping to get some flavours from there...
Types of raw meat:
Mr Andrew
SHeena
Taz
Franz
Shangari
Xian Zhi
Jing Yi
Daniel
Jia Ying
Noorin
The process of being marinated there was a great joy to these meats as they enjoyed each others company and get to meet a lot of other meats. But the best parts are always after they complete their agenda for the day and gather at night to bond together in a box packaging with 4 sides which other meats call 'hotel room'.
A few days later, back in the factory...
After being unevenly roasted in Sri Lanka, this is wad happened to the raw meats, they became:
Master Bak Guah
Laughing Bak Guah
Left Bak Guah
Looong Bak Guah
Morning Bak Guah
Mock Guah
Smacking Bak Guah
Shopping Bak Guah
Pumping Bak Guah
Scandaless Bak Guah
The trip to Sri Lanka was a very meatful one for them as a BAK GUAH NATION was formed.
