Finally got my lazy fingers to write smth down here.
3rd and 4th Jan went down to Pulau Hantu with a few freinds and a few family. Jiayin, Weiting, Brandon, Seth and XiaoWei were there. My parents and two other couples and their granddaughter were there too. But literally, for the whole trip my family left us alone to do everything, well at least most of the things.
Weiting met me at mi place to help carry stuffs, than we went to Pasir Panjang Ferry terminal to unload the tonnes of things that we had. After which, me and ting drove to vivo to meet the rest and get a few last minute stuffs. Around 245 pm we were all ready to board the boat and was standing at the pontoon. We were all trying to get use to the wavy feeling and were almost 'high'. Brandon found a vomiting partner----> weiting!! no, but they didnt vomit. And so, we entertained ourselves while waiting for the boat.
Pulau Hantu look so beautiful from afar. Even more enticing when we are on it. And so we were competing against each other to see who pitches their tent first. Gals vs Guys!! as usual, we won.. hehe.. By right, we were suppose to look for woods for BBQ after pitching, BUT the water was so inviting and we all jumped straight in.. ahhhhh.. niceeee.. By the time we were done and suppose to look for woods, we were a lil late.. mi uncle found a whole bunch of twigs and we only found.. a few?? So. to compensate for our lag-ness we collected our natural mosquitoe repellent. Well not of us, most of them were helping ting collect saga seeds -_-..
And so begins our fire saga!! we t00k very long to set up a decent fire to bbq and even longer to maintain it. But hey, it wasnt that easy, we had no charcoal. We could only use, kerosene, twigs, 'natural mosquito repellent', dried leaves and a lighter. By the time we manage to maintain the heat, everyone was freaking hungry.. There were a few times when we were bbq-ing that we had to lift the mesh up and restart the fire coz there was no heat!! In the end we did manage to finish the chickens, even tho some tasted like kerosene, through a game of old skool, oh-a-pei-ya-som!!
The atmosphere there at night is very diff. there wasnt any lights so we had to light up and maintain a few kerosene lamps. Since we were very far frm the toilet and we cant even see the toilet frm where we are, we all had to do our business at the jetty. It was hilarious!!! Throughout the nite, we played diff lame games to entertain ourselves but the guys fell asleep first!! While we gals were pretty much awake, smth happened, but we survived.. lol..
We didnt really sleep, so we decided to catch the sunrise. Since it was pretty cloudy, we only ray the ray of the sunrise. But the transformation o the sky when it was breaking dawn was simply beautiful.
Morning was simple, we remembered to brush our teeth and wash our face, smth tt we skipped the prev nite. We ate fried rice while sun tanning. At least the rice will remain heated.. haha.. It was low tide tt morning so we cant swim, but!! we played games in the water.. B4 we do that, we crossed the big lagoon to the other island. (xiao wei went back to sleep -_-) the journey was a game of following the leader. A that island, we discovered smth, ting and seth is ard the same weight, ting is stronger than me n yin combine and also Brandon is HEAVY!! *grinsss* And So We manage to go and come back before the tides rose. After quite some time of games, it was time to look for coconuts.
We had to look for wood to put the cutter in, look for ripe coconuts.. Brandon was our coconut man for the day. Since he was the tallest, he's always the one to reach out n cut those nuts. Seth is usually the one to hammer those nails in and gentle ting is the one to cut the coconuts. Dun mess with her, she's pretty good with the axe. Yin had to be the one to navigate brandon to aim and cut the stem of the nut. Our first taste of our first victorious coconut (which came in 3) was pretty unique, it was gas-sy but tasted ok.
After all the hunting and chopping and cutting, we rushed to un-pitch our tent and shower. The boat ride back was a sleepy one. most of us, except brandon and xiaowei, fell asleep.
During the trip we saw a few jetskis, boats, wakeboarders that either hang ard at the lagoon or near the island. During one of the days, we spotted an unattended jetski at the opposite lagoon. Well, we thought we could hijack it but alas, the owner was somewhere near snorkeling. There goes our opportunity. *haiz*
To sum up the trip, it was Back to Basics. But it was an enjoyable one indeed. Thx guys!!

Happy 2009!!!
Happy New Year to one and all!!
Went to west coast with my family and i didn't expect west coast to be so packed!! I thought it would quite empty coz everyone will go to more happenning places like marina, sentosa or even East Coast. But hey!! Not an empty lot in west coast was spared.. I told my parents to sit at the jetty coz its nearer to RSYC and i noe they are partying the night away.. We were standing by to count down with the mariners when all of a sudden the dark sky was filled with brilliant red lights.. Lo and Behold!!! all the ships at the nearby shipyards were disposing of their expired rocket flare into the sky.. Not only that, the ships were honking their way lifting the new year atmosphere even further. Than we heard it, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! More rocket flares shot up into the sky. One guy was even holding the red hand flares at the dock and just waving to all of us at the jetty. Wow!! never have i seen a beautiful sight at the sea :)
Then comes the music, ~apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur..~ woooooots!! i suddenly missed my freinds, coz i noe, for sure we will all start dancing there.. haha.. whine up!!! and all..

8009
Wow, for the first time I actually even bother to write down a last post for 2008. Maybe because I promised my daughter that I’ll do it.
Promises, that is something that I hold on to very dearly. All humans err, that’s why I try my best to keep all the promises that I’ve made. To you whom I’ve made my promises to, I might not fulfill those promises very soon, but I’ll definitely keep my word. Even if I realize that the promise I made is beyond my reach, I’ll definitely make it up to you. And if you realize that I have forgotten my promises to u, give me a hard knock in the head cause I only have 400MB of memory left in me. (a new promise for 2009, I will be more open in my blog)
2008, has helped me to realize my dreams, well not all, partly. I have finally realised my inner passion for the sea. I took up dinghy sailing courses and have enjoyed every second of it. Getting closer to my dream, I learned to sail on a keelboat, a J24 to be exact. My soul simply flew everytime I’m on the yacht. Along the way, I met new friends that I wish to established a stronger relationship with.
Realising new dreams and new passion didn’t make me forget my old flame. Dancing. I danced my way through hard times towards the end of 2008, and it made me a happier person. Well I thought that I could totally give it up, but who can throw away their dear heart. Well, I guessed I should stop trying to totally throw it away and embraced it’s presence in my little heart.
Swimming, yes, I have finally took it up and completed it. Through swimming I have also made new friends and strengthen old ones. Hehe..
2009 is going to be another chapter, another journey. Thunderstorms may heading towards us but as they say, after every dark thunderstorms, there’ll be that new ray of hope in the sky. To all my friends who I have known and yet to meet. I wish everyone a better year!! It might not be very good, but it’ll definitely be better. Forgive me for all my wrongdoings and lets start afresh.

Something is bothering me and i have no idea wad it is.
Recently, me, bryan and seth went to sentosa to tan and just let looose. (not that i need to get any darker). Something totally not positive happened which i will not mention coz it really breaks my heart to even think about it. To wrap our sentosa trip, we found a verry very good spot to just scream our lungs out to the sea. It was then, that I found out smth unknown is bothering me. Till today, I dunnoe wad izzit.

Quick Update..
Sorry all for not touching my blog for a very longggg time.
Basically nothing big really happen. It's only that I just came back from a camping trip at Pulau Hantu with a lil bit of sun-burn.
If ya'll dunnoe, it's still in Singapore waters but you'll need to ride on a boat to get there and tt's wad i did!! It's been yrs since i've been on a boat and the feeling was exhilirating!! It's a very simple island with the only modern technology you have there is, the toilet, no lights no nothing. However, there are TONS of coconut trees and i drank and ate the coconut till i had to shit. Partly cause i ate it in the morning.
It may be simple, but the activities there are endless.. Here's wad i did to fill time:
1) Learn to climb a coconut tree, in a dress. (ended up with scars)
2) Snorkled and swim around the island. (the water is so so so clear)
3) Fishing. (i'm just the spectator)
4) Put a net at the entrance of the lagoon to catch fish. (managed to get a few including, a small shark and a crab)
5) Cross the sea to get to the neighbouring island. (not as amazing as it sounds. the seabed is so level that even at high tide, i can cross the sea w/o swimming. When it's low tide, the entire lagoon has no water at all)
6) Night swimming. (we swam ard 10pm onwards)
I'm very entertained by the simplicity of the island. When swimming cum snorkelling around the island, it feels like paradise. I got to see the various sea creatures, including starfish, small swordfish etc.
But one of the highlights of the trip was definitely the sunset. It was beautiful.

so nice...
I went out to sea last tues and wed.. not exactly out to the high seas, but I went on-board a yacht at the marina.. well i wished it was mine.. haha.. coz the yacht is soooper sexy can!! and the skipper (someone who drives the boat for a profession) who was on-board was pretty cool too, he was very friendly, therefore very easy to chat with him.. haha.. anyways when i was on-board, and standing at the bow (in-front), i just feel so calmed.. it's a sensation that i really cant explain, and my passion for the sea came rushing back, it's like it's being awaken from a deep slumber.. probably not many people know, but I have a thing for the sea, just like my never-ending love for dancing, i have a never-ending love for the sea too.. itz only that, due to busyness, i have lost contact with the mermaid in me.. haha.. so people, if you see a darker me, you should know why..

M&M's
Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels.
Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them breaks and splinters. That is the "loser," and I eat the inferior one immediately. The winner gets to go another round.
I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher, and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world.
Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than the rest. Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength. In this way, the species continues to adapt to its environment.
When I reach the end of the pack, I am left with one M&M, the strongest of the herd. Since it would make no sense to eat this one
as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3x5 card reading, "Please use this M&M for breeding purposes."
This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms. I consider this "grant money." I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion.

To all daring food eaters, there's one breakfast that you must try, and try it quick before it dissapears.. and thst's the Mc Griddles!!! ooooo, its awesome.. i absolutely LOVE it!! ok, lemme tell you more about it.. It's like a burger but with a twist.. it contains sausage, egg and melted cheese but get this, its' buns contains maple syrup.. when u take your first bite, u feel that syrup oozing out to your tongue.. itz a mix of pure sweetness and tasty meat.. sounds disgusting?? well, i tried and i love it.. why dun YOU go ahead and have a bite at it and tell me wad you think about it.. as for me, i hope Mac makes it permanent on the breakfast menu :)
