Welcome Back NOORIN!!!

A Very BIG HELLLLLOOOOOO to all of ya'll out there!! It'z been like a century, decade, years, months, weeks and days since i have last posted anything up after the previous post... I kinda expected this to happen.. since I cant even keep a journal, wad bout a blog.. lol.. i'm bursting with stories to tell.. Some mundane some interesting.. haha.. well i'll tell the stories in no particular order..

let's start with the latest... ok.. so i'm still busy and still goin back to school even tho i've graduated.. (i'm official peepz!) basically due to D3 practices.. Furthermore they are goin to have a performance at bbcc this sunday so they kinda have to come down for prac basically everyday since tuesday.. very hardworking and enthusiastic bunch of potential dancers.. This time we're really doin fusion.. we're starting off with an egyptian feel.. u hv to watch!! the starting even tho very simple its soooooooo nice and very egyptian (i think, it has to be).. than we go to CONTEO! uno dos tres cuatro... very nice too.. and without a break we str away went to bout it (song frm step-up's final showcase), itz a very cool song.. after which we continue to Beautiful liar.. my FAV!! plus the effect is kinda good coz the gals bought coin belts of diff cloth color.. very nice.. we had fun trying to figure out how to dance w/o making it fall (esp me, mine will fall right after the 1st '8' of conteo.. muz be the shaking).. neways... we end up with tis particular song which i dun even noe wad the tittle is.. but itz a very very cute song.. lol.. itz the most enjoyable part of the entire dance.. other than acquiring new steps, we also acquire a lot of injuries.. blue-black knee (hv to see bealson's one.. OUCH!), bealson and yanling keep hitting on each other, mi hands are aching, blah blah...haha.. itz not perfected due to time constraint but we still manage to finish it.. well good luck to us!! (oh ya.. we hv problem deciding wad shoes to wear)

Other than the fun practices we've been having.. we oso jus had our D3 camp during the hols.. haiz haiz haiz... well.. it was ok.. fun yet tiring as usual.. came up with D3's new logo and slogan.. but one thing's for sure.. try not to sleep in the studio if u dun hv sufficient cover.. itz FREEZING MAD IN THERE!!!! omg... during the first nite.. smth happen.. lol.. omg.. ok, there were 6 of us refusing to sleep so we played truth or dare (turned out to be dare or dare).. it's e worst dare or dare i've ever played.. omg omg omg.. i will nv want to play truth or dare wif them again.. i kena e worse dare in my entire life, i had to s_____.. and most of the time, i had to close my eyes coz it was too *censored*.. ahhhh, dun wanna think bout it.. haiz.. after tt most of them went to sleep.. well.. i didn't and i end up very zombified e next day.. on e first day simon came over.. felt very nice to see him coz itz been quite some time after our last performance together.. one of the days, chiva intro me this new song calle 'Legend of the dragons' excellent piece.. oh ya.. and chiva and i choreographed a few sets of '8s' to libertango coz everyone was gaming.. pretty cool stuff tho.. on the second day of camp, i had to leave for awhile coz i had boating practical lesson..

Boating practical lesson.. it was like OMG.... first when we set off, the weather was still ok.. nice and sunny.. THAN... the rain came down and visited us.. like as if we dun have enuf water ard us.. it was darn heavy.. the boat we were on had a canvas shelther but it was of no use.. the canvas got too wet that the rain water actually manage to go through.. therefore sitting under and not sitting under the canvas has no diff AT all.. than i was like.. oh well mite as well stop complaining and enjoy the rain instead.. on the boat, there was me n mi mom, mi unc and his wife, and a gal and guy frm NUS i think (Dawn and Gary).. chatted wif em abit and got to noe em a lil betta.. gary does watersports like wakeboarding but has no boating license.. the lesson was ok.. manage to steer the boat out of trouble even tho mi hands were shivering due to the cold.. i wore a white top and a brown pants (almost wore white pantz).. so it rained, mi top was like kinda transparent.. BUT.. in wore a bikini inside so i guess it looked presentable.. no granny bras.. lol.. during our break gary kinda mentioned tt he's gonna dip in the marina's pool coz itz warmer.. i told my unc's wife and she was like.. ok! lets go.. and so i find miself to be in the warm comfort of the pool in the rain.. after everything, i dried up and went back to camp.. freaking tired.. our theory test is on the 18th july... hmmm...

all this fun is nth but a mere memory... wad i juz got is smth tt can be kept, touched, hold for quite sometime.. lol.. dun think wring.. i juz got a new hp, changed mi no. too.. i got a LG Shine, pretty ok.. well, mi parents got theirs too.. mommy got a Samsung D900 and daddy got a nokia Nx (forgot the model no.).. pretty busy coz i was trying to settle all the phones at e same time.. (btw, e guy at my counter at e singtel shop where we bought e phone, is pretty cute.. lol) other tha phones.. my family got our first desktop after ard 8yrs w/o it.. i've been using laptops and goin to cousins house to do work.. i suddenly feel like an IT person coz got new gadgets.. once in awhile tho.. everything new.. letz juz say i got a new 'office'.. still smell new too.. lol

on e 23rd june.. NPS had their XIV Virtuoso.. and me, yin, jing and ting were involve in a dance.. we were dancing to Big Love Adagio.. live music mind u.. felt quite shuang to dance on the stage coz i love the lighting esp during e starting.. the entire dance looked ok on the video tt our frenz took.. the costume.. haha.. we looked like dancing PADDLE POPS.. very sweet, tasty and yummy.. but the costume was very nice to dance to due to e material and the cutting of the DRESS.. after e performance we met up wif rachel and althea and we went to meizhi's bdae chalet together (except rachel).. oh ya.. it's e first time i forget to bring my ballet shoes for performance.. lucky there was rachel who brought her shoes when i asked for a favour.. thx rach, owe u one!

we met up with kaiyan, adeline and thea's bf before goin to the chalet.. at e chalet, we were all like hungry ghosts coz we din really had a proper meal.. nice foodstuffs too.. meizhi was being saboed quite badly.. lol.. hope u enjoyed urself gal!

recently.. after quite sometime.. met up with my relatives coz my lil cousins are participating in Kid's Central-One Minute Of Fame.... sOOOOO CUTEEEE... all the paticipants were sooooo talented.. very very young talents..

so much for performing.. its e ARTS FESTIVAL.. and its e first time i went esplanade to watch a concert.. I went twice with D3 dancers.. we watched 'Blind Date' and 'Sinfoica Eroica'.. Itz a dance performance.. but unlike those tt i've seen.. these dances are so extract tt u need to think very hard wad itz about.. so abstract tt u go there juz to enjoy e dance and dun really bother bout the story.. but it was awesome.. i juz wonder wad do the choreographers think about when they created the dance?.. hmmm.. In e last part of sinfoica eroica.. they used water as part of their dance element.. the effect was horribly nice.. coz when they slide or sit and spin on water, the water created a swirling effect and u can see the droplets up in the air in particular pattern.. prolly gonna use water as an element in one of our dances..

one more thing.. i'm getting fatter!!! omg.. the onli thing keeping me from turning into a king-kong is D3 dance practices..

tt's quite an eyefull to read.. but so far these are some of the stories tt i went thru.. i noe there's more.. but i cant remember all.. hmm.. i'll post up e remaning stories ya..

Oh.. one last hing.. i kinda pangseh the bakguahs on 2 occassion.. one was Barney's pre-botak-enlistment 'party' and the other was clubbing wif shenna and barney.. lol.. srrrry guys... but i want to remain decent.. heeeee

Lazy fingers

Hahaha... Finally mi fingers are typing again..

Aniways the week has been pretty good.. Everything went smoothly and i am seriousli enjoying life..

Except for the fact that i've been rejected thrice.. and i'm not gonna beg anymore.. Coz, i have another plan in mind now..

So, wadz hapenning now is that I'm still studying Financial Planning + Gonna take another form of license too.. hehe.. the other licence is gonna be mi life.. itz mi favourite licence in e entire world, well except for one licence that i cant get.. Licence to KILL.. hee.. yea, i just had to say tt..

I'm still having phobia to drive.. I tought I was caught on camera for beating the red light coz i saw flashes.. but apparently there's another car on the other side of the road, so i guess the camera was taking the other car.. BUT.. i forgot to do one thing.. I forgot to smile and pose for the camera juz in case it captured my uncle's car with me driving..

About dancing.. Tonite.. i suddenli got this feeling of a new found confident and inspiration... Probably coz i watched a few videos here and there and i think i noe wad to teach next week for D3.. So guys, be prepared.. heeeee

Talking about D3, today's prac was quite fruitful.. Did 'Show Me The Money' and i guess quite a few ppl love e song.. Steps were very fun to teach coz itz pretty tricky here and there.. BUT, they manage to learn four sets of 8's.. Arent they cool or wad.. Good job.. and continue practicing..

Haha.. Latest updates on mi unplanned mundane life.

Last saturday went swimming with dance girls at the Alumni clubhouse. it was quite last minute as I didn't plan to swim actually. I tought of goin to the gym instead, but with much persuasion and seeing tt yin decides to swim even tho '....' So I gave in. I wore my leotard to swim. haha.. Itz my second time there but the girls made the experience very refreshing. This saturday gyming ok...

Tuesday, yesterday D3 had a Welcoming Party. I have to say, D3 have the craziest and noisiest bunch of freshies.. Very enthu too.. I have to scream into the mike juz to make myself heard.. lol.. I love all of them.. Pretty tired after the event plus my boots are killing me.. The Bak guaz visited us too but they were pretty reluctant too dance.. i dun believe tt they are shy..

Today, i went to D3 prac.. Pang seh dance group.. sorry, but responsibilities call.. Pretty much went through the details of the dance with them.. itz getting a lil better but there's 80% more room for improvement.. We'll get there..

How high should i raise my expectation? And should i raised it? Can they take it? Coz now my expectations are pretty low.. See a few potential ones.. Even if i do raise my expectations, how am i suppose to train them till they get there? Someone pls gv me a sign..

unplanned life

Hi Hi... its been a few days ald.. well i finally overcome mi laziness and manage to get my lazy fingers to write a post..

ok.. last saturday we had a performance at NP Choirs' public performance at University Cultural Centre as guest dancers for one of their solo items sung by choir jingyi and it was great as the guys look very manly and the gals were hot and jingyi sang "Buttons" very nicely.. phew, all in one breath (seriousli, try to say tt line in one breath). Well, i discovered a new way of make-up.. to put glitter powder as the eye shadow.. the effect is very strong yet the entire make-up is quite simple.. tho the glitters were a lil hard to remove.. itz still manageable.. tt's e price u hv to pay to look good on stage :) After e performance, we went out for prata at e cheese prata shop.. everybody suddenli get very cheeesy.. franzz got his present frm us there and i guessed he like it.. no.. he has to love it.. haha.. if u wanna noe wad he got, go his blog and find out.. haha.. A cheeesy ending to our day..

well other than tt, i have been goin out to very very very late night suppers with my FAMILY and nobody else.. returning like 3-4 am.. itz pretty tiring but i can say tt itz quite fun.. lol

i guess i'm suffering from post graduation symptoms.. seriousli, i have to get mi life back in order, rearrange it whatsoever.. need to think wad i'm realli gonna do wif it.. if i get into a uni than itz a lil bit easier to plan, but if i dun.. hmmmm... than i would need serious long-term planning.. maybe i can start a business.. smth to do with e sea perhaps.. given the fact i've been in the water even before i could walk.. but mind u.. i cant swim.. i'm very very affiliated to the sea..
i call it my second home, a home that i've not visited in the longest time ever and i'm missing it~

I'm going for it.. soon...

Bak Guah Nation Ep. 2

Part 1

It was one of our bak guah's birthday.. Guess which flavor?? Our very own PUMPING Bak Guah.. Ta-daaaa.. She celebrated the day tt she was manufactured 18 years ago with much joy.. Too much tt she let herself be exposed to all the bacterias by seasoning herself with too much chocolate.. Bad bak guah..

Part 2

Have you ever wondered wad it's like to live in a Bak guah world? Lemme tell u a part of it.. that is, how does the transportation system operates there.. and all of us have a role to play..

We have different form of transportations here in bak guah land..

1st, we hv a car that will hobble (even tho it hobbles, it is a good quality continental car made in Sri Lanka), everywhere it goes basically because it luffs everytime it moves, tt's why we call it the Luffing Car (made by luffing bak guah)

2nd, and wad is a car without a horn rite? So, we have a fabulous honking system which sounds like an explosion. Everytime we horn someone it will go "baboom"!!! (provided by pumping bakguah )

3rd, Not forgetting those who can't drive, we also have an efficient public Bus system operated by a bus company called "Le Bus".. It specialises in loooong buses which can accomodate up to 50 pieces of bak guah per trip. (operated by loooong bak guah)

4th, One the bak guahs, in her previous life as a human, she was a new driver who was concern of ppl not using traffic lights, so in this life, she dedicated herself to manufacturing traffic lights. (manufactured by scandolous bak guah)

5th, How can we ensure that the vehicles don't bang each other? This is where we put colors into the traffic lights.. it's either a green or no light at all.. This light is a natural green taken from nature, i.e from vegetables, this is contributed by a bak guah tt specialises in vegetarian bak guahs (contributed by mock guah)

6th, Where will vehicles noe which direction to go? In our world, every bak guah can only go one direction.. to the left.. tt's why one of our dear bak guah kindly contributed her time to make the signs for the convenience of our drivers.. (made by left bak guah)

7th, We also ensure the safety of our pedestrian bak guahs by employing a traffic police bak guah.. Other than tt, its role is too also punish those who disobey the rules.. We hired a very dedicated traffic police bak guah who will gladly punish offenders by smacking them.. (punished by smacking bak guah)

8th, All this would not be possible if not for a particular bak guah.. it has been goin ard purchasing, renting and do whatever it takes to make sure all the physical objects like traffic light, the metal signs, the vehicles are made using the appropriate elements. I heard it went to all the shopping centres in bak guah land (shopped by shopping bak guah)

9th, And there's no better way to start a morning without a greeting from our bak guah. it has been goin everywhere, even shopping centres and roads juz to say a GOOD MORNING to all fellow Bak Guah Nation residents (greeted by morning bakguah)

10th, And our dear mayor, has been ensuring that everything moves along juz fine (ensured by master bak guah)

Life's a Bak Guah

Dear Blog,

Wow... itz been 4 days and quite a few stuffs have been happening..

Saturday, as usual, i had dance and after which we went to watch a dance performance at VT.. We actualli managed to pull looong and luffing bakguah along with us.. Let's talk about the dance performance.. Wel, they hv very interesting concepts and costumes and also interesting ways of using props.. However, their smoke machine was spoiled, i guess.. Other than tt, the dancers were excellent, frankly speaking i'm only 1/8 to their standard.. But there's smth tt i realised, a handful of their no. are made up of foreign talents.. I hv nothing against them, i mean they are really talented but aren't local dancers talented too?? why do dance companies juz love taking in foreign dancers, i mean to take in a handful will create healthy competition, which is good.. but when almost half of the company is foreign talent?? Where will our local dancers, who are just as talented, be placed? well, nobody said this industry was easy...

So, after the performance, i had to leave while the rest including Barney went to esplanade to chill... i heard they ate Fondue... whoa.... hehe. Well as for me i went for some mid-night drive around the west area.. pretty coool.. (P.S: We gave pumping bakguah her presie.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAL!!!)

Sunday, it's a day tt i wished i nv would hv gone thru.. Something very very very terrible almost happened.. well smth bad did happen, but not tt very very very terrible... The event really affect me to a certain extent.. pls god, dun let it happen to anyone else... By the way, to all adults out there, when you are crossing with a children.. PLEASE PLEASE hold their hands tightly...

Monday was pretty slacked.. had to settle some stuffs in the morning, after which slacked whole day till it was time to go to mi night class.. After class, when i was in the lift of mi house, i met a very nice neighbour.. we talked for tt few second in the lift.. I think he's new in the area coz i've nv seen him ard b4... well, it's really very nice to have neighbours who are more open and not shy to talk to others.. i hope i hv more of tt kind of neighbours..

Tues, had prac with choir.. btw to jingyi, no worries gal, you're doing just fine... let's just hv fun ok?!

Tired but...

Had another long and tiring and stressful day...

But... it was sooooooo worth all of it... I PASSED!!!!! Finally, after goin to and fro BBDC, for god noes how long.. i cleared it...

Guess wad, i got the same tester as the previous time.. I was a borderline case but heck it.. I passed.. hahahaha... soooo relieved... phew!!

after that, i happily went to D3 practice, a lot of freshies attended.. and also , a lot of potential dancers too.. itz definitely a very HAPPY day for me..!

WOW!!!!! Anyway i had a pretty long day today...

Went to school EARRLLY in the morning and perform smth very crap...

Danced at the booth...

Went driving...

Went for my night class...

Omg.. the night class is smth very different. Even tho the subject taught is very familiar but itz the students tt attended the class tt wowed me.. The only 'young' ones are me and 2 guys who juz graduated from poly too.. the rest are like either bankers, managers, property developers, IT experts, accountants, insurance agents... itz like whoa!!!! Surrounded by professionals...

i'm enlightened... aahhhhhhh~~~

Ok.. Yesterday me, taz and daniel had a VERRRRRY Early performance.. One of the earlier ones i ever had.. To make-up in the the morning was a horror.. lucky the end result was ok and i didn't look like Frankenstein.. Steps were horrible but i guess the crowd still manage to appreciate the dance...

After the performance we had an earlier lunch.. with our manager for e event.. after which daniel left and me and taz slacked in school like nobody's business.. we were actually waiting for time till our rhs at bras basah.. slacked till about 4 plus, luffing bk came with taz's cd and she finally get to watched the pic after all of us actually watched it a million times ald.. lol...

Lo and behold!! a msg came and i dun nid to go for rhs... haha.. hmmmm.. kinda wasted time in school but i remembered tt i had another prac in skool.. so it wasnt tt bad..

Went to prac Buttons with daniel all and later, the bak guahs tt were in skool came over to revise for our Sri Lanka performance... Had a fun time trying to recall the steps... besides that, Franz.. our very own loooong bak guah TRIED to be a magician but.... hehehe... we went off topic here and there when we all took turns to shake with the bellydancing chains... and i can safely say... ALL of us can shake.. yes.. all of us.. hehehe

realised smth yesterday.. do u noe that if you hv a performance early in the day and slack tooo much after tt you'll be very tired ? haha

and again... JING YI WENT MADDDDDDDD!!!!!!
